Research and write a feasibility study of 2500 words on a business- or career-related topic of your choice. I recommend that you choose a topic personally relevant to you and your classmates -- one with real-life significance.
Some sample options to consider or to use as models include
- a feasibility study for summer travel (e.g., based on the average TCNJ freshman's budget and vacation time, is a trip to Paris, San Francisco, or Tokyo feasible this summer?),
- a feasibility study for future employment (e.g., what employment options are people in your major likely to have at graduation time?),
- a feasibility study for transferring to another school (e.g., what would be the consequences of transferring to William Paterson, Rutgers, or Princeton?), or
- a feasibility study for housing next year (e.g., what off-campus housing options are available and what would a move off-campus require?).
Your feasibility study should take the form of a long, formal report with all the appropriate front matter, formatting, and back matter. It counts as the required research paper for the course -- not as one of the three short argumentative essays.
Keep in mind that this assignment will be graded based on my usual grading criteria for papers. I ask, contrary to regular business practices, that you give me your report double-spaced (rather than single-spaced) for ease of reading and commenting.
