Petar II, King of Yugoslavia (1923-     ).  Succeeded as King in 1934 on the death of his father, King Aleksandar I, under a regency headed by his father's cousin, Prince Pavle.  Participated in a coup by which he assumed power on March 27, 1941, and fled the country following the German invasion in April 1941.  Married on March 20, 1944, in London.  Deposed by the Constituent Assembly on November 29, 1945, while still in exile.
