Georgios II, King of the Hellenes (1890-     ).  Succeeded as King on the abdication of his father in 1922 and left Greece in 1924, when a republic was established.  Returned to the throne in 1935 following a plebiscite and left again in advance of the German invasion on April 23, 1941.
