Leopold III, King of the Belgians (1901-     ).  Succeeded as King in 1934 on the death of his father, King Albert I.  His first wife, Queen Astrid, née Princess of Sweden and Norway, died in a car accident in 1935.  Remarried unequally on September 11, 1941 (religious), and on December 6, 1941 (civil), at Laeken Castle.
